This was an increase from last quarter\u2019s survey results of 54.8 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The April round also showed an increasing number of respondents who had difficulty in paying for their children\u2019s schooling (from 43.7% in January to 46.4% in April), transportation (from 43.6 to 46.9%) and water (from 36.1% to 43.5%). Meanwhile, the share of respondents who had had trouble paying for their electric bills remains at a high 66.4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The latest IBON nationwide survey was conducted from April 24 to 30 among 1,500 respondents aged 18 years and above. It employed a multi-stage probability sampling scheme and has a margin of error of plus or minus three percent. The April 2014 round is a non-commissioned survey conducted across various sectors in 16 regions.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Below is the tabulation of results of the respondents\u2019 perception on meeting their basic expenses<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the past three (3) months, how did your family meet the following expenses?<\/p>\n<p>1.
