As the second round of peace negotiations between the Philippine government (GPH) and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) begin, research group IBON\u2019s new survey shows that most Filipinos aware of the talks will support the political and economic reforms that it will yield.<\/p>\n

Asked if they are familiar with the peace talks between the NDFP and the government, 1,170 survey respondents or 77.7% answered yes while only 333 or 22.1% answered no.<\/p>\n

Asked whether or not they would support the political and economic reforms that will be discussed during the peace talks, almost 85% said yes and only 8% answered otherwise.<\/p>\n

The latest IBON Nationwide Opinion Survey was conducted among 1,505 respondents from September 1-12, 2016. This round\u00a0 employed field interviews and a multi-stage probability sampling scheme with a plus or minus 3% margin of error.<\/p>\n
