Water for the people advocates however note that the government&#8217;s big-ticket Build Build Build water and energy dams plans, aside from being unnecessary, could destroy lives and livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New Centennial Water Source Kaliwa and Laiban Phases I and II and the Chico Pump Irrigation Project, all being vetted to the Chinese government for official development assistance, are estimated to dislodge thousands of indigenous peoples&#8217; households in the provinces of Rizal, Quezon and Kalinga.
