Nagibgay ang Renewable Energy Act of 2008 ng mga insentibo tulad ng mga tax break at iba pang benepisyo para mahikayat ang mga kumpanya na mamuhunan sa mga proyektong renewable energy. Samantala, nagtatakda ang National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) ng mga target para sa pagpapalawak ng kapasidad ng renewable energy sa bansa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sa mga nakaraang taon, pinalawak pa ng gobyerno ang mga hakbanging ito sa pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng mga renewable energy auction, pagbubukas ng sektor sa mas malawak na dayuhang pamumuhunan, at pagbibigay ng higit pang mga insentibo sa mga mamumuhunan. Layunin ng mga patakarang ito na pabilisin ang paglipat ng bansa mula sa paggamit ng fossil fuels tungo sa renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nakatulong ang mga programang ito sa pag-akit ng mga pamumuhunan at pagpaparami ng mga proyekto sa renewable energy. Kaya lang, pangunahing idinisenyo ang mga ito para hikayatin ang pribadong pamumuhunan.
