Meaningful public consultations can help ensure that renewable energy projects address local needs while protecting livelihoods, ecosystems, and community rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Policy reforms should also focus on making renewable energy more affordable, accessible, and publicly accountable. This includes strengthening support for community-based renewable energy, expanding financing for small producers, improving transparency in energy planning, and ensuring that affected communities have a voice in decisions that affect them.
