IBON executive director on EO 50 extending lower tariffs on rice, corn and meat products:"The Marcos administration’s over-reliance on imported food even when El Niño still hasn’t hit and affected supplies is among the things stifling domestic agricultural production and self-sufficiency.Protecting agriculture and improving productivity such as by investing in more efficient irrigation, drought-resistant crops and sustainable farming techniques is a better response to El Niño."
