The importance of addressing these with a systemic and holistic perspective is also raised. This touches on national governance and influencing policy to favor sustainable pathways.

There exists a complexity to achieving sustainability and harmony with nature. I shall remain vegan, but the next time I say Itadakimasu, I shall put the farmers, peasants and workers right at the heart of my gratitude.

This will not only bring food to the table. In time and with due perseverance, selling and sharing of produce may be possible.
